What You’ll be Doing

• Performing Monthly, semi-annual, and annual Generator services and load bank testing as per the CSA 282 requirements and performing small repairs as needed.
• Work independently and alongside other team members to attend planned and emergency services.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems with onsite generators.
• Work on a variety of power generation, drive and electrical systems such as gen-sets of all makes, variable frequency drives, automatic transfer switches, e-houses, cogens.
• All service work is communicated via online reports to be completed daily and relayed to managers.

Requirements:

• Must hold a valid driver’s license, maintain a clean driving record and be willing to provide driver’s abstract.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills (English).
• Computer proficiency with a strong knowledge of MS Office and social media tools (texting, Teams, Outlook, etc.).
• Occasional, project-based travel expected with mutual consideration toward work/home life balance.
• Eventual inclusion into after-hours ON CALL rotation; usually every 4-6 weeks.
• Ability to follow maintenance program as instructed without deviation.
• Any working trade licenses are considered an asset.

• Note: Police, RCMP Fingerprint or OPP check may be required based on individual customer requirements but if you are qualified in most other respects, we will find room for you.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ensuring all Health and Safety's policies and procedures are followed and participate in regular H&S training as required.
• Previous experience in Power Generation is an asset.
