WSP is currently seeking a senior Energy Modeler to join our Buildings Mechanical department located at our Vancouver, BC office.

What you can expect to do here:
- Manage and deliver energy and carbon performance analysis/modeling (energy modeling, embodied carbon modeling, comparative EUI/GHGI analysis, etc.) for new builds and retrofits.
- Prepare simulation models in support of code compliance (BCBC, VBBL), green building rating systems, utility incentive programs, and/or municipal or federal policy.
- Collaborate closely with building science, mechanical, and electrical designers to identify and apply efficient, low-carbon design solutions.
- Write technical reports.
What you’ll bring to WSP:
- 8 years of experience in parametric modeling and energy-efficient/low-carbon HVAC system design.
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and parametric modeling software - DesignBuilder or IESVE required; eQUEST, RETScreen, EnergyPlus, and others considered an asset.
- Knowledge of building and energy codes (BCBC, VBBL, BC Energy Step Code, NECB, etc.).
- A commitment to collaboration, continuous learning, and out-of-the-box thinking.
- Ability to manage task sequencing, project budgets, and scale the level/depth of analysis to client expectations and project schedules.
Expected Salary (all locations): $82,900 to 114,000.
