Role Mandate:

Reporting to the Vice President, Supply Chain Systems, as a leader you will motivate and guide a team responsible for the following functions:

  • Manage the delivery and lifecycle strategy for applications in their portfolio, which will comprise supply chain and automation technologies.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and technology and analytics peers to maintain a multi-year capability and technology strategy for applications in their portfolio.
  • Adhere to a multi-speed delivery strategy of application development.
  • Ensure committed portfolio of projects are delivered within agreed scope, timeline and budget.
  • Build and maintain a high performing team.

Accountabilities:

Strategy and Delivery

  • Provide leadership for the end-to-end solution delivery lifecycle of IT services including new development and major enhancements to existing supply chain systems.
  • Accountable for the delivery of a committed portfolio of projects within agreed constraints (scope, budget, time). Extensive change management and process rigour to minimize incidents.
  • Develop overall three year strategic portfolio plan.
  • Initiate, manage, and facilitate portfolio strategy and concepts from ideation to conceptual high-level design to execution and delivery to targets.
  • Stay abreast of trends in supply chain technology and incorporate those into prioritization and backlog discussions with stakeholders.

Partnership

  • Strategic partnerships with business stakeholders to act as advisor on technology solutions and drive outcomes, communication and plans to ensure success.
  • Work with the Technology and Analytics (LTA) leadership team to define and adhere to a clear engagement model and decision framework to enable delivery success.
  • Review and approve key issues and decisions for applicable solution domains.
  • Work with the Technology and Analytics leadership team to enhance and mature delivery processes to reduce cost of delivery and increase speed to market.

Leadership

  • Provide leadership to ensure a high performing delivery team with appropriate skills and capacity required to enable technology strategy.
  • Be a coach, mentor, and role model for members of the team to help grow our talent.
  • Demonstrate credibility through expert strategies and experience.
  • Execute with precision and completeness. Tenaciously anticipate and address questions.

Vendor & Financial Management

  • Work with the LTA leadership team to define and mature a strategy and partnership model for external service providers, SaaS, cloud and automation vendors.
  • Strong management of external vendors and SaaS contracts.
  • Understand and implement best practices to deliver against budget.
  • Implement cost improvement initiatives, and strong governance.
  • Focus on both the short- and long-term to ensure the company’s financial success.

Role Requirements:

  • Between 8-10 years experience specifically within both Supply Chain and IT Delivery with expectations of recent, proven success in the industry.
  • Supply Chain operational expertise within warehouse management, demand and fulfilment, transportation management, SAP is necessary.
  • Strong ability to link business process to technology benefit and drive outcomes to deliver on mandates.
  • Leadership capabilities that foster a high performing delivery team.
  • Relationship management capabilities that foster strong relationships within LTA and with the business stakeholders.
  • Delivery excellence capabilities that mature processes and drive operational value.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with a track record of professionalism, innovation, integrity and high energy.
  • Highly desired is a candidate who has experience in a complex matrix environment whereby his/her success was achieved through a combination of and internal team, and outsourced providers.
  • Quantitatively driven, will understand the value of information, and will use this to drive strategy and tactics. He/she will be a decisive individual with a passion for results, and will have the ability to influence and guide the actions of others.
  • Honest and ethical with unquestionable integrity.
  • Drive change, be confident, resilient and persistent.
  • Persuasively influence diverse audiences. Persist in the face of demanding, skeptical constituents.
  • Demonstrated emotional maturity, self-awareness, and learning, with a strong capability in building interpersonal trust.
