What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

1. Lead evidence-based policy development, research, and analysis to influence public policy in Canada
2. Develop and oversee the implementation of policy advocacy strategies in priority areas such as workforce development and immigration
3. Guide and supervise Canadian policy advocacy and research staff and consultants
4. Collaborate with internal teams to achieve strategic goals and share knowledge
5. Drive the development of WES policy positions and proposals for government and stakeholder consultations

What is Required (Qualifications):

1. Master’s degree in a relevant field or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience
2. Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in social impact work, including policy development and advocacy
3. At least 10 years of management and leadership experience, including team management
4. Strong analytical skills and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships
5. Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including experience as a public spokesperson

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

1. Functionally bilingual in English and French is considered ideal
