We are seeking a Strategic Business Planner to develop and implement long-term strategies, drive annual business planning, and lead game-changing strategic projects to ensure sustained growth and competitive advantage for our Canada Business Unit (BU). You will lead a team of 4 and participate in the cross-functional Canada Leadership Team.

What You'll Do for Us
Long-Term Strategy Development
- Support the development of the BU's long-term strategy, including vision, strategic framework, and growth models.
- Steward the five-year Long-Range Canadian Business Plan.
- Lead the strategic direction for the annual business plan.
- Identify business opportunities based on market assessments and trends.
- Diagnose competitive advantages and assess new business models.
- Identify barriers to value capture and propose strategic alternatives.
- Lead industry projections and develop volume and value share commitments (3-5 years).
- Prepare long-term strategy documents for North America and TCCC discussions.
- Ensure implementation of strategic plans across the organization.
- Provide insights to enhance commercial execution in the market.
Annual Business Planning
- Define and coordinate the annual Business Planning (BP) process.
- Provide strategic guidance for segment annual plans.
- Construct annual revenue projections and share commitments for Canada.
- Develop and present the annual business plan to North America management.
Strategic Projects/Initiatives
- Identify and manage M&A and new business opportunities.
- Lead the development of the Canada RCG strategic plan.
Systemic Thinking & Business Cases
- Create multi-variable analytic models to understand growth impacts.
- Develop business cases to evaluate opportunities and risks.
- Perform competitive and industry analysis to inform strategic adjustments.
Organizational Routines & Processes
- Design and implement senior management routines to enhance effectiveness.
- Develop key presentations and documents for Canada business review.
Knowledge & Insights (K&I)
- Upgrade insights and approaches for better decision-making.
- Track and analyze consumer, shopper, channel, and macro indicators.
- Support ad-hoc projects related to product launches and initiatives.
- Lead development of new K&I capabilities.
- Manage research budget for productivity goals.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- Educational Requirements: B.S. Degree in Business Administration or related field; work experience considered in lieu; Master's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Fluency in English and French is an asset.
- Professional Experience: 10-12 years of relevant experience in strategic planning, business consulting, and FMCG/retail organizations (M&A experience is valuable).
- 10-15% international travel, mostly within North America.

- Knowledge of M&A processes (target assessment to full acquisition strategy development) and competitive intelligence.
