Senior Director / Director of Retail Leasing

We’re growing!! And looking for a passionate, driven and energetic candidate to join our team for the position of Senior Director or a Director of Retail Leasing located in either Guelph, ON.

Job Description

Looking for a chance to make your mark in a fast-paced, professional and fun environment? As the successful candidate, you would be responsible for determining, managing and overseeing the national leasing function for Skyline's Retail REIT portfolio in order to maximize our overall occupancy and revenue while supporting Skyline’s shared goal of increasing efficiency and surfacing value in real estate.

What we look for:

• Extensive experience with all aspects of retail leasing; able to proactively pursue and complete renewals and new leasing on any vacant and/or expiring space.
• Possess a depth of positive industry contacts, with the ability to foster and maintain ongoing relationships with both our tenants and brokerage communities, ensuring external awareness of Skyline's Retail portfolio.
• Strong knowledge of principles and practices of retail leasing and of applicable Federal, Provincial, and local laws and regulations.
• Experienced in providing input and opinion to both asset management and finance, with respect to determining annual leasing assumptions as part of a comprehensive budgeting process.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and customer service skills; with an enthusiasm for working as part of a team, both within the leasing team and the wider Retail group, including mentoring, sharing knowledge, and developing more junior staff.
• Capable of operating under pressure and meeting multiple tight deadlines.
• Able to work a flexible schedule and travel when required.
• An ambassador who will encourage a highly professional and positive image of Skyline Retail REIT properties, Skyline Commercial Management Inc., our affiliates, and management.
