Organization Description:

Elimin8Hate, the advocacy arm of the Vancouver Asian Film Festival, is a non-profit organization that leverages the power of arts, film, and media to advocate for Asian racial equity in Canada.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Digital Marketing Manager with project management expertise to join our team for a 4-month contract (full-time) to lead two campaigns: one calling on community members to stand up for our community and report hate incidents, and the other that will work with the community and organizations to make Asian stories more visible in media and broadcasting.

Responsibilities:

  1. Marketing Strategy and Execution:
    Collaborate with the Executive Director to ideate, develop, and execute 360° marketing campaigns, including social media, digital ads, email campaigns, blog content, and website updates.
    Serve as the primary liaison with external agencies to ensure campaigns are effectively promoted and meet organizational goals.
    As required, serve as the face of Elimin8Hate’s social media presence.
    Create, edit, and manage video content for social media platforms, ensuring alignment with Elimin8Hate’s messaging and branding.
  2. Project Management:
    Manage all aspects of marketing campaigns, from planning and execution to tracking and reporting.
    Coordinate timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure campaigns are executed on schedule and meet strategic objectives.
    Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies based on analytics and feedback.
  3. Administrative Support:
    Assist with general administrative tasks as needed, including report preparation, documentation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience Required:
    Proven experience (3+ years) in crafting, managing, and executing campaign-based digital marketing, with a focus on social media, email campaigns, and digital advertising in a business environment.
    Demonstrated campaign timeline management experience.
    Hands-on experience with social media platforms, analytics tools, and content creation software.
    Experience liaising with agencies and external partners to execute marketing campaigns.
  2. Knowledge & Skills Needed:
    Asian Canadian Knowledge: Understanding of issues faced by Asian Canadians as well as other marginalized and underrepresented groups.
    Technical Skills: Prior experience in social media (IG, TikTok, LinkedIn), content creation software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut), and email marketing platforms (e.g., MailChimp). Experience with Elementor in WordPress.
    Advertisement: Paid ad management experience required.
    Social Media Platforms: Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, Meta.
    Project Management: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines effectively, and experience with project management software (e.g., Asana, Monday).
    Creative Expertise: Ability to develop engaging and impactful marketing content tailored to diverse audiences.
    Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze campaign opportunities and pivot and adapt as required.
    Teamwork and Adaptability: Collaborative mindset with the ability to adapt and assist with various tasks as needed.
    Content creation: Comfort being a forward-facing content creator is preferred.
    Diversity, Inclusion and Representation: Passion about DEI and knowledge on how it impacts our daily lives and work is preferred.

Duration & Salary: 4-month contract starting immediately for $20-25k.
