About the role
Join the Technology Solutions Team in the Senior DevOps Engineer position. As part of our evolving engineering culture, you will focus on enhancing operational efficiency, improving automation, and enabling development teams to deliver software faster, securely, and more reliably. This role is ideal for someone passionate about DevOps and who can also help lay the groundwork for a transition towards Platform Engineering in the future. You will collaborate closely with development, quality, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment pipelines, high system reliability, and secure infrastructure.
What you’ll do:
- Architect, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using Azure Cloud Services, including Kubernetes (AKS), Azure Functions, API Manager, and EventHub.
- Design, configure, maintain, and optimize Azure DevOps pipelines to automate the build, test and deployment processes.
- Create and manage development, staging, and production environments ensuring consistency and alignment with project requirements.
- Set up monitoring and alerting systems using tools like Azure Monitor and Application Insights to ensure application and infrastructure health, as well as integrate security testing (SAST, DAST, SCA, Container Scanning) to the CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with security team and developers to address vulnerabilities and threats.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for DevOps processes, procedures, and infrastructure configurations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the software development process, streamline workflows, and to adopt DevOps best practices such as shift-left security and testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automated application testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) into pipelines for fast feedback loops.
- Begin building reusable components, templates, and tools that will evolve into a self-service platform to streamline developer workflows.
What you should have:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or another related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Information Technology, with a focus on DevOps practices and cloud infrastructure.
- An advanced knowledge of CI/CD platforms, especially Azure DevOps, with an expertise in creating and maintaining pipelines. A familiarity with source control systems and branching strategies.
- A deep understanding of DevOps principles, including CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and configuration management.
- Proven interpersonal, leadership and business competencies, including teamwork, facilitation, communication, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging abilities within complex systems.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, business and technical stakeholders.
- The ability to lead and mentor teams while driving operational excellence.
Technologies:
- Proven hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Services, including AKS, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, and EventHub.
- Strong skills in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
It would be great if you also had:
- A graduate degree or certificate in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or another related field.
- Technical certifications in application architecture, cloud development and administration (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Azure developer, Azure DevOps Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect).
