Position Overview:
The Senior Derivatives Analyst will play a key role within the Derivatives Operations team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop processes and provide actionable recommendations.
This individual will bring leadership in the development of business models, guide the implementation of projects, provide team training, and contribute to the creation and refinement of policies and procedures.
Working closely with leadership, the Analyst will focus on process efficiency, ensuring seamless operations.
As a subject matter expert, the Senior Derivatives Analyst will possess in-depth knowledge of current and emerging regulatory requirements related to derivatives, analyzing their impact on processing operations.
This role will also involve interpreting derivative contracts to assess risk, profitability, and operational effectiveness and working with internal and external legal teams to draft or amend agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with internal and external teams to design and recommend improvements to business processes.
Lead operational support, maintenance, and training initiatives for newly implemented business models or processes.
Analyze derivative contracts to evaluate their impact on our client's risk profile, profitability, and operational workflows.
Collaborate with legal counsel to create or amend agreements as needed.
Leverage expertise in over-the-counter and cleared derivatives to support operational processes and provide guidance.
Identify inefficiencies in existing procedures and recommend improvements to streamline processes.
Work closely with stakeholders to implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency while ensuring adherence to internal controls.
Analyze legal documentation to confirm that derivative trade terms and obligations align with negotiated terms and ISDA standards.
Ensure accurate trade confirmations and affirmations with dealers, ensuring both legal and economic agreement of executed trades.
Interpret and apply ISDA documentation structure and definitions, ensuring compliance with legal and economic standards.
Partner with the front office to ensure decisions align with business risk, contributing proactive research, data, and insights to drive informed decision-making.
Ensure timely and accurate trade verifications to maintain operational integrity.
Mandatory Requirements:
Proven experience in Derivatives Operations or a related field.
Advanced knowledge of over-the-counter and cleared derivatives.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and the ability to apply them effectively.
Familiarity with various investment products, particularly complex derivatives.
Strong multitasking abilities with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
