Story Behind the Need
Business group: Data Quality
Enhancing and supporting data quality solutions including data quality issue management.
Transformation initiatives related to data quality on-premises and build-on cloud solutions.
Creating and supporting data quality dashboards in Power BI.
Managing stakeholders across multiple business lines and managing projects end to end, including inception, requirements gathering, design, implementation, and change management.
Initiative: DRAP – Onboard and provide support to Tier 1 business processes ensuring compliance for data governance, which includes reporting and effectively managing their data quality issues. This includes onboarding, providing training, supporting complex business issues, and leading working group meetings with stakeholders across the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
- Support data governance activities onboarded through DRAP as well as data quality issue management activities across the enterprise.
- Support Data Quality and Issue Management (DQIM) activities and Data Governance processes with a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Support user access management to Enterprise DQIM applications and Enterprise Dashboards and perform data analysis activities to support Data Quality efforts across the Enterprise.
- Support all levels of reporting and dashboards via Power BI and Tableau.
- Perform data analysis and communicate results in support of data quality processes.
- Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business units and identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; and recommending actions.
- Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Assess, research, analyze, and document project needs and outcomes by selecting appropriate information gathering and/or modeling techniques.
Must Have Skills:
- 8-10 years of experience working as a Product Owner.
- 8-10 years of experience collaborating with partners and stakeholders on Data Quality initiatives (Technology, Visualization, Data Stewards, and governance groups).
- Knowledge and experience with GCP.
- Experience in building and managing dashboards in Power BI.
- Proficient with Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- Post-secondary degree in Mathematics, Business, Engineering, Management, or relevant field is mandatory.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Financial Industry experience within data quality and data governance programs is an asset.
- Master's degree is a plus.
Education & Certificates:
A university degree in Mathematics, Business, Engineering, Management, or relevant field.
Best VS. Average Candidate:
The ideal candidate should have experience in data management, specializing in data quality, and possess a background in Power BI. The manager will review candidates with previous roles as Data Quality Managers or related positions. The ideal candidate is someone with a positive attitude, great communication skills, and the ability to build relationships and trust with stakeholders. They should be proactive, willing to ask questions, and eager to learn new things.
