Senior Data Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

1. Analyze data sets to determine data gaps and work with cross-functional teams to bridge the gap.
2. Liaise with the business analysis team to understand the data requirements.
3. Support the team with data analysis, such as data source discovery, data usage viability, and data sourcing.
4. Coordinate data sourcing with upstream data teams.
5. Partner with the team on testing with data verification, completeness, and data quality checks.
6. Participate in data-driven initiatives, such as data lineage, data quality checks, and data migration.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar.
2. Minimum 10 years of experience in global organizations as a Data Analyst.
3. Proficiency in Data Analysis, with working experience in SQL and relational databases.
4. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; able to work in an international team setting.
5. Strong reasoning skills and logical deduction applied to data analysis.
6. Collaborate effectively across a variety of IT and Business groups, across regions and roles.
7. Present and tell a story with the data analysis/reporting.
8. Self-motivated individual and creative thinker who takes ownership of tasks assigned.
9. Ability to problem-solve and provide creative solutions in challenging environments.
10. Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, demanding, and team-oriented environment.

Skills Desired:

1. SQL querying, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
2. Experience working in medium to large-scale development projects.
3. Knowledge of trades data, positions data, and reference data.
4. Experience in trade lifecycles and asset classes: Equity, Fixed Income, Options, Futures.
5. Understanding of Risk/Compliance surveillance platforms (Actimize, MANTAS, Sungard) and their models (Wash trades, Marking the).
