Senior Control Systems Specialist (Manufacturing)

Job Description: Our client is looking for a Senior Control System Specialist(s) to join the team.

Must Have Primary Skills:

• Programming experience with current PLC, HMI, and VFDs is a requirement.
• Degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Robotics & Automation, or similar education is required.
• Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience specific to the Controls and Industrial Automation industry.
• Proven experience developing code from scratch, with a strong foundation of PLC fundamentals.
• Must be willing to mentor other team members and contribute to the team's growth.
• Exposure to SCADA and motion control.
• Electrical design fundamentals or 3D CAD development.
• Programming knowledge of multiple software platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Omron, Toyopuc, etc.).
• EPLAN, AutoCAD, Solidworks, Inventor, etc.
• Robot programming and configuration of multiple manufacturers (ABB, Fanuc, Motoman, Nachi, Kuka, etc.).
• Peripheral systems including vision systems, marking systems, weld systems, etc.
• Exposure to various automation processes (automotive, food and beverage, agricultural, mining, pharmaceutical, etc.).

Nice To Have Secondary Skills:

• Programming knowledge of multiple software platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Omron, Toyopuc, etc.).
• Robot programming and configuration of multiple manufacturers (ABB, Fanuc, Motoman, Nachi, Kuka, etc.).

Proven Experience In:

• Primarily responsible for the technical aspects of integration projects.
• Facilitate project management responsibilities on various sized projects.
• Manage client relationships and project scope under the direction of the Account Manager; communicating project schedule requirements.
• Provide direction for team members at various levels, as required.
• Comfortable executing and/or leading mid and large-sized automation projects.
• Responsible for reporting on a regular basis to management and/or Team Leads.
• Complete controls designs and electrical schematics; specifying hardware and components.
• Develop PLC/HMI/SCADA programs.
