Reporting to the Director, People Culture & Brand (PC&B) Governance & Controls, the role will provide leadership and highly specialized consultation on governance and controls activities within PC&B. The incumbent will act as the PC&B Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)/Maintenance Officer (SOMO) overseeing control identification, documentation, maintenance, testing and monitoring on behalf of PC&B Accountable Officers (AO). This includes risk-focused reviews of internal control testing papers to ensure adequate documentation of design and operational effectiveness of Financial Process Controls (FPC/SOX), US Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR), Operational Process Controls (OPC) and Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) Controls. In addition, you will work closely with internal business partners to review their process documentation and draft additional controls as needed.
You will act as the Relationship Manager for Ernst & Young (EY) assurance (SOX controls) and Information Technology General Controls (ITGC) audits, and with US Internal Audit for the ICFR audits. You will provide leadership by managing the annual control test planning process, reviewing control sample populations and artifacts, addressing follow-up inquiries, coordinating and communicating the remediation of any control gaps/failures, and support control performers with IPE (Information Produced by the Entity) risk identification, testing and documentation.
You will manage other PC&B governance activities such as leading sustainability testing to support the closure of deficiencies, develop testing strategies for new controls, and create summaries of control testing results to share with AOs.
