Make an impact with our Digital Solutions team as a Senior Consultant, Payroll Solutions. As an implementation services and team lead, working closely with our Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) team, you’ll onboard and support clients through a full cycle payroll implementation for our supported vendor solutions.

Performance Expectations

  • Responsible for the implementation of business management platforms such Payroll and Human Capital Management (HCM) systems
  • Responsible for the delivery business management platform implementations, including but not limited to, strategic planning, business planning and business process improvements
  • Assist the customer in gathering relevant current system data and helping to convert the data into the business management platforms
  • Engage in Human Resource Management and Payroll related program reviews, program redesigns and other forms of management consulting to best understand workforce management needs and configuration
  • Configure Payroll supported solutions or comparable system to meet the financial, business and operational needs of the client.
  • Provide client support and consultation regarding supported solution utilization
  • Manage implementation and delivery financials (budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)
  • Execute transactions through the provision of client services including planning, budgeting, scheduling and coordinating engagements
  • Perform needs assessments and lead the collection, development, research and analysis of data (through website research, report review, interviews, focus groups and surveys)
  • Facilitate collaboration with client engagement team prior to commencement of client work to discuss roles and responsibilities, risk areas, materiality and deadlines
  • Think strategically about client needs by understanding their business and key risks
  • Identify ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value
  • Maintain high quality control by reviewing work done from other team members for accuracy and completeness; provide feedback to team members
  • Monitor project timelines against targets, adjust where necessary; advise clients of project status and seek clarification on discrepancies where applicable
  • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses, and industry through experiential learning with clients
  • Network and take a leadership role in the local professional, business, and community while raising awareness of MNP and looking for new business development opportunities
  • Promote MNP advisory services through the delivery of presentations, writing articles, facilitating workshops or participating in community activities
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes while effectively using MNP internal programs and systems
Credentials
  • University degree or college diploma in relevant discipline required
  • Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) certified is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of consulting experience, ideally in a client-service environment
  • Completion of an accounting designation is an asset
  • Prior Human Capital Management and Payroll services is required
  • Experience working with project problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, facilitation of decision making, documentation, managing client expectations, project profitability and team leadership
  • Experience with leading business management systems (Microsoft Business Central, Sage Intacct, Ceridian, ADP) is an asset
  • Some travel may be required
