What You’ll Be Doing
As an integral member of CIBC’s Digital Portfolio Management team, reporting to the Director, Operations & Enablement, the Senior Consultant, Digital Operations & Enablement is accountable for overseeing the operational elements on behalf of the wider Digital Banking & eCRM teams. The group liaises with key partners across the business and the Bank to ensure that the portfolio is aligned on governance, business management, and key operational pillars. The Senior Consultant provides oversight and co-ordinates key functions tied to portfolio Audit and Compliance requests, Deficiencies, Risk Reviews, Record Management, and Operational tasks that allow the business to run effectively, support and govern operational programs to assure compliance and manage risk, while also supporting operational excellence by optimizing processes and implementing business critical change initiatives, ensuring strong oversight and creating procedures with all Records Management including vault management and all associated controls.

How You’ll Succeed
Stakeholder Management – Collaborate with stakeholders of varying levels, and build strong working partnerships and manage relationships across the organization focused on outcomes. Facilitate key operational matters that are aligned to driving a strong employee culture and continuous improvement across all pillars of the business.
Governance & Operational Risk – As a SME develop and lead the governance and risk framework, define project requirements, establish working teams, track progress and bring projects to successful completion and provide leadership with project status updates, feedback and reporting. Help audit engagements succeed by providing an independent opinion on risks that may impede successful delivery or implementation.
Project management - Strong project management skills. Ability to work well under pressure with multiple or competing deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Demonstrates a strong understanding of the business, business objectives and key risks. Must be able to accept flexibility to complete work assignments.
Improve controls/processes – Review the audit action plans to ensure they are completed quickly and address the root causes. Stay current, keep abreast of developments and emerging issues within CIBC and the financial industry.
Facilitate teamwork – Work together with other team members to build a positive & energized team environment where everyone is developing and growing the team’s knowledge.
Who You Are
You can demonstrate experience in the area of controls and deficiency management or have experience in a role that requires you to think in terms of risk and mitigation. You are able to write and communicate effectively and have proven ability to produce reports for deficiency management and project status updates. It’s an asset if you have experience with multiple areas of Audit, Risk. You understand that methodologies are tools that need to be applied effectively to achieve successful audit delivery and outcomes.
