Global Security Settlements Team Profile:
Our platform provides one of the most critical functions enabling the firm to effect security settlements in all the markets the firm conducts business in. On peak volume days, the Firm processes up to forty million effects settlements worth hundreds of billions of dollars for activity ongoing in multiple countries and currencies across the globe.

Role:
We are looking for a Senior Developer, preferably with exposure to Cloud Architectures & Public Cloud offerings, to join our team building a resilient, scalable, and secure cloud-based settlement platform. You will participate in the requirements refinement sessions, working on architecture, design, and implementation – writing code and automated tests, creating CI/CD pipelines following the best software development and DevOps standards. In our agile environment, you will interact directly with users, product owners, business analysts, and other technologists across the firm. If you have a track record of building large-scale distributed applications, preferably on Azure/Cloud, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities:

1. Actively participate in the refinement sessions to ensure the requirements are clearly defined.
2. Write clean, performant, scalable, testable, and reusable code and build automated tests.
3. Guide more junior developers helping them to follow the best software development practices.
4. Follow the best DevOps practices – create CI/CD pipelines, enable capturing telemetry, etc.
5. Contribute to enhancing team standards and improving processes.

Skills Required (Essential):

1. Hands-on with 5+ years’ experience in building distributed event-based systems applying agile practices. Sound understanding of microservice architecture and design patterns, system resiliency, scalability, security, and observability.
2. Strong working knowledge of core Java, Spring-boot, and other Spring framework features.
3. Experience with designing and implementing high volume messaging- and REST-based middleware.
4. Experience with defining scalable database models (relational or others).
5. Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
6. Familiarity with cloud-based development principles.
7. Fast learner and desire to constantly learn and improve.
8. Strong oral and written communication skills.
9. Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or in a related field.

Skills Desired (Recommended):

1. Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud.
2. Experience with Angular.
3. Familiarity with Kafka and MongoDB.
4. Prior experience in FinTech application development.
5. Experience with working in a global delivery team.
