Job Overview:
The Senior Clerk assists the Fitness & Aquatic Administrative Coordinator at the Jasper Fitness & Aquatic Centre. They perform and assist to oversee the team providing customer service, preventative maintenance and repair of fitness equipment, instruction, and administration to meet the needs of our guests, while protecting the patrons and properties of the Municipality of Jasper. They support the Fitness & Aquatic Administrative Coordinator to coordinate Fitness Centre staffing, customer service, cash handling, facility rentals, and recreation programming.
Responsibilities:
• Act as an ambassador for the Community Development Department and the Municipality of Jasper, to the members of the public, staff, and Council.
• Promote and enable safe and enjoyable experiences for members and guests of the Municipality while at the Fitness & Aquatic Centre through effective lifeguarding and customer service.
• Communicate effectively and appropriately with members and guests of the Municipality as well as contractors and Municipal staff, including face-to-face, telephone, print, and electronic communications.
• Understand and follow all applicable Municipal and Facility Policy and Procedures, including the Health and Safety program, to ensure the Fitness & Aquatic Centre remains safe, clean, and healthy.
• Understand and follow all Emergency Procedures, participate in training to ensure appropriate emergency response and follow up.
• Understand and follow the Collective Agreement between the Municipality and C.U.P.E. local 1458.
• Perform various administrative, operational, custodial, and any other job duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
English Fluency Level required for position: Intermediate
Job Requirements Qualifications & experience:

• Public Relations and Inter-Departmental Collaboration: Ensure safe and enjoyable experiences for patrons at the Fitness & Aquatic Centre through effective facility admission, membership administration, program registration, facility rental services, preventative maintenance and repair of fitness equipment, and any other job duties as required.
• Strategic Leadership: Assist to develop, promote and deliver high-quality, appropriate, cost-effective programs in coordination with municipal management and other levels of government and NGOs.
• Project and Equipment Management: Appropriately lock out, tag out, repair, and coordinate with the maintenance department or contractors about damaged equipment as needed.
