The role: Reporting to the Manager, Data Engineering, the Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will champion the design and development of analytical data assets and interactive BI solutions – reports, dashboards, and other business decision tools – that will support strategic decisions and operational performance monitoring across all functional areas within the organization (e.g. Marketing, Sales, Customer Growth & Retention, Product, etc.).

The purpose of the role is to ensure that all the information the stakeholders need to be successful in their respective roles is readily available and easy to use, thereby enabling and driving self-service analytics for business users.

As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will:

1. Design and develop scalable and efficient data models that support business requirements and enable accurate reporting and analysis.
2. Work closely with the Analytics team in implementing key business metrics in the Data Model and BI tools for tracking and reporting purposes.
3. Create and maintain high-quality reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to business users.
4. Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure reliable and efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
5. Manage and administer our BI platform, including user access, data governance, performance tuning, and security.

To be successful, you should have:

1. Extensive experience in the architecture and development of data modeling and semantic layers, with familiarity with medallion architecture.
2. Expert-level SQL programming skills.
3. Experience in building and maintaining data pipelines using DBT.
4. Advanced proficiency in designing and constructing dashboards utilizing data visualization tools like Tableau or equivalent.
5. Solid understanding of complex relational data structures.
6. Proactive and relentless problem-solving skills.
7. Strong and confident communication style.
8. Comfort in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
