SENIOR BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE (BI) DEVELOPER

Department: Information Technology

Term: 6-month Term

Location: Victoria

You are a detailed and results-oriented BI professional, providing second and third tier IBM Cognos Analytics application and IBM DataStage ETL job support. You troubleshoot and diagnose complex application problems within Finance, Human Resources, and Business and Maintenance applications. You work with Business Analysts, Developers, and Architects to understand business requirements and develop detailed design specifications. You diagnose and correct problems related to infrastructure and databases, and assist with IBM Cognos Analytics server software installation, upgrades, and testing, as well as configure models of packaged applications. You ensure quality assurance while maintaining the overall integrity of the data reported from the IBM Cognos Analytics and ETL systems.

Qualifications:

You have a Diploma or Degree in Computer Science (or an IT related discipline), or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training. You have proven experience working with Cognos Analytics, including Query Studio and Report Studio report design and development, Framework Manager modelling, and Transformer cube design and development. Experience with Data Warehousing, MS Power BI, and MS Server Reporting Services (SSRS) would be an asset.
