Apex Systems is an IT staffing and consulting firm and we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with strong communication and requirement gathering skills in the Investment Management domain, experience on Digital projects, and experience working on Agile teams to place at our client, a Big Five Bank.

Contract: 1 Year rolling contract.

Location: Toronto, Downtown Core

Job Description

The responsibilities of this Senior Business Analyst role include: liaising with business users to analyze requirements and translate business needs into functional specifications for development and testing; performing research through internal systems as well as public sources such as Bloomberg and the Internet in general; assisting development with analysis of backlog items and working closely with the business on project tracking and SDLC management specifically for a Digital Investment platform.

Key Qualifications:

• Ability to speak with Investment Management business stakeholders and also collaborate and discuss requirements with technology stakeholders.
• 5+ years of Wealth Management/Capital Markets experience; Understanding of self-serve investing platforms, investment management, ETFs, etc.
• 8+ years of Business Analyst experience working at enterprise financial corporations.
• Experience with JIRA.
• Experience with Agile Development.
• Experience working on Digital projects.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Ability to work through backlogs and create solutions proactively.
