Position Summary
Are you interested in an opportunity to grow professionally within a positive and progressive culture? Northern Health is seeking a champion with significant management and leadership experience to join our Financial Planning and Budgeting department.

The Senior Business Analyst is integral to the development and implementation of strategic direction on all aspects of financial planning by providing financial services (business planning, coordinating integrated reporting, financial analysis and/or advice) on a wide range of capital and operating items to Executive, senior management with Northern Health and the Ministry of Health. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for coordinating and communicating budget activities to leadership, completing external reports on forecast projections, and assisting in compiling the reports, analysis and presentations for the Ministry of Health and various stakeholders.


Starting salary will be approximately from $88,990 to $111,237 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

Qualifications
  • Recognized accounting designation plus five (5) to seven (7) years of directly related experience in health care, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong interpersonal skills with leadership abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical skills to perform budget, trend, ratio and cost/benefit analyses.
  • Ability to coordinate integrated reporting between organizations, resolve differences, and develop reports and presentations.
  • Knowledge and experience working with complex, computer-based budgeting systems.
  • Knowledge of Project Management practices, tools and techniques.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and changing priorities.
  • High degree of initiative and self-motivation.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
