About This Role

The Market Risk Technology Engineering Team is looking to on-board a self-starting, high-performing systems IT business & technical analyst to help mature our software development practices ensuring that our applications can properly satisfy both internal & regulatory policies in the areas of security, data governance, and tech currency.

The ideal candidate will be part of a small team, Application Delivery Team, that will drive efficient Agile delivery processes, coordinate cross-functional development programs, and facilitate compliance with internal and external audits by ensuring proper documentation, controls, and risk mitigation strategies.

Job Requirements:

Area: Agile & Iterative Delivery Management

  • Assist with the agile delivery execution by facilitating agile standups in a scrum master role and/or teaching others how to perform that role. Create status reports and dashboard for management as needed.
  • Understanding the full SDLC (software life cycle) and working in a business & system analyst capacity to help our teams be more successful in its agile/iterative delivery execution.

Area: Developer Program Management

  • Work with the team to embrace software engineering best practices to "sharpen the saw" to better prepare us for operating in a more stringent audit environments where the quality expectations of our software engineers is much higher than it was historically.
  • Focus on process improvement to minimize operational, reputational, and proprietary risks. This includes managing system, project, and technical documentation, ensuring optimal client support and efficient systems operations.

Area: Audit Compliance & Remediation
  • Understand the software, data and security policies for the enterprise, TD Securities, and relevant regulatory bodies (BCBS 239, etc.). Work closely with the development team managers to define how the team will satisfy the required policies and procedures.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of development processes, controls, and compliance measures. Create status reports and dashboard for management as needed.

Key Qualifications
  • 5-7+ years of Software Engineering Experience. Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and iterative software delivery models.
  • Experience with Agile tooling (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps) and compliance management tools.
  • Ability to understand policies and translate their requirements in software engineering processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) including release management.
  • A passion for simplifying and automating work, for making things better, for being efficient and helping others.
  • Expertise in financial regulatory compliance, technology risk management, and audit requirements.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task effectively and independently within a fast-paced environment.
