Broker, Commercial Broking
As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Commercially risk Broking Group within Aon.

The salary range for this position is $110,300 - $130,000. The actual salary will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity.

What the day will look like
- Participates in client and prospect meetings
- Collaborates with clients to develop coverage strategy and marketing initiatives for renewal and prospective business
- Collaborates with sales producers to support growth strategies and specific prospecting activities
- Collaborates to build regional initiatives around Casualty & Property lines of coverage
- Provides guidance, training, and mentoring to assist in the development of less experienced Brokers within the national group
- Builds productive working relationships with peers and higher-level professionals internally and externally to exchange information and make recommendations
- Analyzes client-specific risk exposure and details coverage requirements
- Prepares and presents marketing proposals for renewals and new business
- Negotiates with underwriters to establish the best terms and conditions with respect to premiums and coverage
- Follows up with insurers to confirm terms of negotiated contracts are met
- Approves documentation for new contracts, policy changes, additions, deletions, and renewals
- Establishes contacts and cultivates relationships within the underwriting community in an effort to achieve the best premiums and coverage for Aon clients
- Performs other related duties as required
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- 10+ years property and casualty experience in complex placement
- Proven knowledge and relationship with domestic insurance carriers
- Broker licenses across Canada required
- Strong skills in both written and verbal communications to be able to make an impact and influence with the client and the insurance company
