Senior Bookkeeper Full Time

Position Details:

• Permanent, full-time position
• Hourly Wage of $27.00
• Job location and business address: 802-188 Esplanade E, North Vancouver, BC V7L 4Y1

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping, finances, accounting, or auditing is required;
• A college diploma in accounting, economics, bookkeeping or a related field OR completion of courses in accounting or bookkeeping combined with 3-5 years of experience in the field;
• Good command of English.

Desired Skills:

• Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices;
• Working knowledge of automated accounting software systems;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel;
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records; establish, maintain and balance various accounts using a computerized bookkeeping system;
• Record financial transactions, including account payable and account receivable;
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts;
• Prepare and submit remittances (GST, PST, WCB, Payroll) as required;
• Process invoices, verify accuracy, and prepare payments;
• Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls and for utility, tax and other bills;
• Prepare tax returns;
• Prepare financial, accounting and statistical reports for the annual budget and long-term forecasts.
