Senior Backend/Fullstack Software Engineer

About the Role:

This is a full time permanent position working under a hybrid model (2-3 days in office).

Our client is a US-based startup, well funded and established. Having secured their latest round of funding recently, they are establishing a Vancouver office, focused on engineering.

We are looking for talented Senior Backend software engineers to join their growing team in Vancouver. You will contribute to the development of their AI-powered sales tools, focusing on building and maintaining robust backend systems and fullstack applications.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend systems using Node.js, MongoDB, and AWS.
• Contribute to fullstack development using React (role is generally backend-focused).
• Ensure efficient data flow and system performance.
• Collaborate with the Tech Lead and other team members to deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Work with cloud services on AWS.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in backend/fullstack development.
• Proficiency in Node.js, MongoDB, and AWS.
• Experience with React (backend-focused).
• Strong understanding of database systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Base salary: $150,000- $180,000 CAD
