Senior Automation Test Developer

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

1. Identifies opportunities for automation within software processes.
2. Designs and executes QA tests using scripts that automatically test functionality.
3. Designs and writes test automation scripts.
4. Utilizes test automation frameworks.
5. Investigates problems in software as a result of testing.
6. Works with QA analysts and software developers to find solutions.
7. Provides advice on the testing strategy, test plans, the selection of testing tools, and the identification of resources required for testing.
8. Plans and organizes testing efforts for large systems in Graphical User Interface (GUI) and non-Graphical User Interface (GUI) environments, including the execution of systems integration tests, specialized tests, and user acceptance testing (e.g., stress tests).
9. Proficient in Cloud technology, Agile & DEVOPS.

12. Experience in quality assurance and testing, including AODA testing, integration testing, load testing, performance testing, etc.
13. Knowledge of one or more automated testing tools.

Desirable Skills:

1. Knowledge and experience in at least one programming language.
2. Experience in the use of information retrieval packages.
3. Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
4. Experience planning and organizing testing efforts for both large and small systems.
5. Experience coding automated test scripts to produce sets of automated test cases.
6. Experience testing Commercial Off-the-Shelf Applications (COTS).

1. Evaluation Table - Automation Developer

Automated Testing Skills – 40%:

1. Extensive Experience with automated test tools Katalon, Selenium, Microfocus Unified Functional Testing (UFT), Microfocus Load Runner 12.5.
2. Experience in the use of Performance Testing tools - J-Meter.
3. Extensive Experience with ReadyAPI/Postman.
4. Experience with Automated testing methods in an object-oriented environment, DEVOPS & Agile.
5. Experience with providing organized Automated application testing to accommodate development and implementation efforts to remediate issues.
6. Experience with Automated API testing.

Testing – 30%:

1. 10+ years of experience in process, planning, organizing, and implementing testing efforts.
2. Extensive Experience in Test Automation Development.
3. Extensive Experience with test management tools on one or more platforms such as Azure DevOps & Microfocus ALM 12.5.
4. Experience conducting AODA Compliance Audit & Remediation.
5. Demonstrates working knowledge of the testing process and the Software development life cycle (SDLC), including Agile & DevOps.
6. Experience with creating, reviewing, and executing test strategy, test plans, and test cases.
7. Experience with providing identification and resolution of problems/issues.

Technical Skills – 25%:

1. Experience with Waterfall, Agile & DEVOPS methodologies.
2. Experience with Cloud technology (Microsoft Azure).
3. Extensive Experience with AODA Compliance Audit tools, AXE, WAVE.
4. Extensive Experience with automated test tools Katalon, Selenium, Microfocus Unified Functional Testing (UFT), Microfocus Load Runner 12.5.
5. Knowledge of Licensing and Control System (LCS) & Legacy Mainframe Systems.
6. Experience with Payment Gateway MPG/EPS Services.
7. Experience with mainframe tools such as TSO/SPF.
8. Experience with ReadyAPI, WEB Services, API, OPA, and Java Technologies.
9. Experience with IMS/DB2/SQL/Oracle Databases, and UNIX.
10. Experience with .NET platform.
