What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Associate, Mid-Market Investment Banking, you will support the execution of active merger, acquisition, divestiture and capital raising advisory mandates. This includes supporting the information gathering process; assisting the team in the creation of marketing materials; supporting the analysis of the financial implications of proposals; and supporting the due diligence process through to the close of a transaction.
How You’ll Succeed
- Collaboration: Support managing directors and all other team members in transaction execution, business development presentations and meetings.
- Workflows: Create confidential information memorandums, management presentations, client proposals, pitch books, marketing materials and other general presentations. Prepare detailed financial models and research and develop an awareness of mergers & acquisition activity, trends and developments.
- Analysis: Valuation of businesses using comparable trading analysis, precedent transaction analysis, discount cash flow analysis and other industry metrics.
- Networking: Develop and cultivate relationships with peers at other financial institutions, private equity groups, industry associations, and other professionals.
Who You Are
- You have a Degree in a business-related discipline, along with a professional designation (e.g. CPA, CBV, CFA).
- You have Industry Experience: At least 3-5 years of investment banking, M&A transaction advisory or due diligence support, private equity, or corporate development experience is required.
- You have Technical Skills: Experience in financial modeling & analysis is required. Strong computer skills working with Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Bloomberg, CapIQ.
- You are Detail Oriented: Ability to work independently and on multiple files simultaneously, with a high degree of accuracy while adhering to tight deadlines.
