THE OPPORTUNITY
As an Architectural Technologist, you’ll play an important role in contributing to the technical development of projects, working through the development of construction documents, working drawing packages, detailing, design development and blueprints. Your technical expertise will drive precision in production, contributing to high quality projects being delivered across the province.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Technical and production efforts, crafting detailed working drawings, construction documents, and blueprints with precision and efficiency.
- Review and refine technical drawings, ensuring compliance with design standards, codes, and project requirements.
- Guide and mentor more junior production team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Conduct site visits and field reviews, documenting existing conditions and overseeing construction progress.
- Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and project teams, ensuring seamless integration of all design elements.
- Oversee project materials, shop drawings, and permits, maintaining quality control and regulatory compliance.
- Engage in design development, researching materials, building systems, and refining architectural details to enhance project outcomes.
WHAT YOU BRING
- A post-secondary education in architecture or a related field (diploma in Architectural technology ideally).
- Strong expertise in Revit, and other architectural software.
- Deep understanding of building codes, permit processes, and construction documentation in Canada.
- Experience in project management, client relations, and multidisciplinary coordination.
- A passion for problem-solving, innovation, and delivering high-quality architectural solutions.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Located in Alberta (able to make occasional trips to the studio).
