Senior Architect

We are looking for a motivated, experienced senior individual to run retail and residential projects. Minimum 10 years of experience in Canadian design and construction. This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the most iconic retail brands in the world, along with boutique workplace projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Able to run high-end retail and boutique workplace projects, being involved in all stages of the project, including producing working drawing sets and managing a team of architects and designers.
2. Strong working knowledge of the OBC, NBC, Canadian building construction & detailing.
3. Retail and workplace design project experience required.
4. Proficiency in Revit & AutoCad are a MUST.
5. Able to successfully lead and manage a project team, setting the design, detail, and execution standards.
6. Minimum 8 years of construction and contract administration experience.
7. Minimum 8 years of consultant coordination.
8. Degree in architecture from a registered university or program.
9. Ability to work with clients, contractors, trades, etc.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. The successful candidate will be running luxury retail stores and high-end office renovation projects.
2. Assisting with Planning & Zoning reviews, Permit submissions, technical drawing production, producing DD sets, Permit & Construction drawing sets, consultant coordination, and contract administration.
3. Leading a team to help with the design of retail & office interior projects.
4. May include travel as part of project responsibilities to help service projects across Canada and the USA.
