This is with a global IT services firm for a leading investment/wealth management services firm. Client Location is downtown Toronto Ontario, close to TTC and GO service. Hybrid - In Office 4 days per week. Contract - 6 months, possible renewal.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage timelines/deliverables within the team towards the successful delivery of projects.
2. Design software solutions by interacting with portfolio managers, traders, operations staff and peers to understand requirements.
3. Develop solutions that are in line with client's technology biases, deliver efficiency and scalability, and enable new trading activities.
4. Provide knowledge transfer to team members and support staff through application demos, walkthroughs, and documentation.

Mandatory Skills:

1. University degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred
2. Must have good communication skills, strong client-facing skills and able to manage client's expectations
3. Demonstrated experience developing and integrating enterprise business applications within the financial services industry preferred 7+ years
4. Experience with technologies/frameworks such as Angular JS, AWS
5. Demonstrated experience integrating applications and processes using web services, API
6. Demonstrated experience using Agile or Rapid Application Development practices
7. Strong technical skills in Angular JS 7+ years
8. Good understanding and practical experience in DevOps, CI/CD
9. Jira, Confluence, 1+ years, confident user

Nice-to-Have Skills:

1. Python and Java Development background
2. Capital Markets domain knowledge
