Senior Analyst (Compliance, Risk and Assurance)

Division: Enterprise Risk and Assurance
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Employment type: full-time permanent in a remote work environment

Location: Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, or Quebec

Travel across Canada or other international regions may be required at times

Job summary

Are you an ambitious audit and compliance professional with a knack for problem-solving? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment where you can challenge the status quo and mitigate risks? If so, our A-Team may be the perfect place for you! We’re looking for a talented professional to plant their roots with us as our newest Senior Analyst (Compliance, Risk and Assurance - CRA). In this role, you will report into the Senior Manager, Assurance and will be a vital member of our Compliance, Risk and Assurance division.

As a Senior Analyst (CRA), you will…

  • Collaborate with senior management and business partners to plan, scope, and execute on internal audit, compliance, and risk management projects
  • Analyze internal control over financial reporting for design and operating effectiveness, including control testing, synthesizing findings and observations, drawing appropriate conclusions, and making recommendations based on both technical guidance and risk-based analysis
  • Coordinate with external auditors on the annual integrated audit plan and control testing procedures
  • Facilitate successful key SOX program activities including supporting risk assessments, maintaining documents, liaising with the SOX Steering and Audit Committees, and overseeing quarterly and annual NI 52-109 and SOX 404 certification

As an experienced professional you will have…

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance with a CPA, CA, CMA or CGA designation (or be in the process of pursuing the designation)
  • A minimum of two years of relevant work experience in internal or external auditing, IT auditing, public accounting, or risk management
  • Strong knowledge of the COSO Integrated Internal Control Framework (2013) and COSO ERM Framework (2017)
