Advancing Educational Equity Through Thought Leadership and Philanthropy

Location: Remote (Preferred: Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Minneapolis)

Commitment: Volunteer (5-10 hours per quarter)

Fundraising Expectation: Contribute or help raise $25,000-$50,000 annually

About The Role

The Educational Equality Institute (TEEI) is seeking accomplished executives, philanthropists, and corporate leaders to join its Senior Advisory Council. This prestigious group of advisors provides strategic insight, networking support, and high-level fundraising guidance to help drive TEEI's mission of expanding access to education, mentorship, and professional development for underserved populations, including refugees, displaced individuals, and women in need of career advancement.

This role is suited for professionals with extensive experience in corporate philanthropy, nonprofit leadership, social impact investing, or donor engagement. Advisory Council Members serve as trusted advisors who contribute their expertise, influence, and connections to enhance TEEI's financial sustainability and long-term impact.

Description

As a Senior Advisory Council Member, you will offer strategic guidance, open doors to potential funding sources, and help elevate TEEI's presence in corporate and philanthropic circles. Your role is critical in helping TEEI secure long-term financial resources and expand its impact.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Advisory & Leadership:
  1. Provide expert insights into corporate philanthropy, nonprofit strategy, and donor engagement
  2. Advise on TEEI's expansion, financial sustainability, and partnership-building initiatives
  3. Collaborate with the Board of Directors and executive leadership to align fundraising efforts with strategic priorities

Fundraising & Development:
  1. Leverage your network to connect TEEI with potential corporate sponsors, foundations, and major donors
  2. Support TEEI's fundraising efforts by facilitating introductions to high-net-worth individuals and impact investors
  3. Help drive annual fundraising efforts, contributing or securing $25,000-$50,000 per advisory member

Corporate & Community Engagement:
  1. Build relationships with corporate leaders, philanthropic organizations, and educational institutions
  2. Represent TEEI at industry events, fundraising galas, and philanthropic forums
  3. Advocate for TEEI's programs and mission to increase visibility and funding support

Participation & Collaboration:
  1. Attend quarterly Advisory Council meetings (virtual or in-person) to provide input and strategic guidance
  2. Engage in fundraising and networking activities to strengthen donor relationships
  3. Work with other Advisory Council Members to develop new initiatives that drive TEEI's mission forward

Requirements

TEEI is seeking high-profile business executives, nonprofit leaders, and philanthropists who have expertise in fundraising, donor relations, nonprofit leadership, or corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Ideal Candidates Have:
  1. A strong commitment to education, workforce development, and social impact.
  2. Experience in fundraising, corporate partnerships, or major donor relations.
  3. An established network of corporate executives, philanthropic leaders, or high-net-worth donors.
  4. A background in finance, law, technology, AI, social impact, or nonprofit growth strategies (preferred but not required).
  5. Previous experience serving on an advisory council or nonprofit board (preferred but not required).
  6. The ability to dedicate 5-10 hours per quarter to strategic advising, donor outreach, and networking.

Fundraising Commitment:
Each Senior Advisory Council Member is expected to contribute or raise between $25,000 and $50,000 annually through personal giving, corporate sponsorships, or philanthropic partnerships.
