Senior Advisor, Machine Learning Engineering, MLOps and LLMOps

The Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence Department is responsible for developing analytical solutions to support the business lines’ needs at Desjardins. As Senior Advisor, Machine Learning Engineering, MLOps and LLMOps, you help meet the need for data to support business decision-making, operationalizing artificial intelligence (MLOps) and generative AI (LLMOps) solutions adapted to business issues and help understand member and client behaviour. More specifically, you will be required to:

1. Design, develop and implement API integrations with generative AI technologies such as Azure OpenAI and other relevant platforms to improve business applications.

2. Provide technical expertise in AI concepts, including natural language processing, and leverage techniques to optimize results in terms of pertinence, completeness and quality.

3. Optimize AI models for performance, scaling and efficiency using cloud-based resources and distributed computing frameworks.

4. Create evaluation and monitoring frameworks to determine model accuracy.

5. Work with a multidisciplinary team (data science, data engineering, software engineering) to develop AI-driven solutions that meet business requirements.

6. Stay up-to-date on advancements in AI technology and recommend innovative solutions to improve existing systems.

7. Help create and update comprehensive documentation for AI models, API integrations and technical processes.

8. Identify and resolve technical issues related to AI integration and model performance.

9. Provide training and support to internal teams on the use and implementation of AI technologies.

What you bring to the table

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, artificial intelligence or a related field

2. A minimum of six years of relevant experience

3. Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

4. Experience in implementing artificial intelligence and generative AI solutions

5. Knowledge of French is required

6. Expertise in life cycle management for AI solutions

7. Proficiency in Python and data processing libraries, NLP and ML

8. Proficiency in Git and MLOps best practices (ML pipelines, CI/CD, monitoring)

9. Proficiency in machine learning and machine language processing techniques
