Senior Advisor, Data Warehouse Production Support

The Member/Client Solutions and Banking Data Warehouse Department is responsible for the development and evolution of various applications linked to Desjardins Group’s banking data warehouse. As a senior data warehouse production support advisor, you provide user support and assistance for IT applications, including installation, configuration, best practices, issue resolution, service request management, and IT and technical incident management. You make recommendations on the development and execution of projects and initiatives with a high degree of operational and conceptual complexity. You use your analytical skills and comprehensive, detailed understanding of your line of business and the organization. More specifically, you will be required to:

• Provide production support for a large-scale banking warehouse that represents multiple sources of information.
• Lead large-scale development projects, initiatives and activities in your specialty area that have a significant impact on the entire organization.
• Advise your clients and partners to help them position, plan, develop, execute and monitor complex projects and initiatives under your responsibility.
• Develop and update policies, standards, models and programs to support your unit’s strategic projects and initiatives.
• Identify and analyze major issues. Diagnose issues and make recommendations to decision-making bodies.
• Represent your unit before decision-making bodies.
• Represent Desjardins when making agreements with external partners and organizations.

What you bring to the table

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• A minimum of six years of relevant experience in a systems development or support role or any other relevant experience
• Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
• Experience with SQL
• Knowledge of French is required
• Knowledge of DataStage
• Knowledge of Control-M
• Available 24/7 as an on-call advisor with pay
