A leading organization in Calgary is looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes. This role requires a strong leader with extensive experience in financial reporting, compliance, and team management. The successful candidate will play a key role in strategic decision-making and process improvements within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
2. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
3. Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to enhance performance.
4. Implement and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures to maintain financial accuracy and efficiency.
5. Collaborate with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
6. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with audits as required.
7. Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.
8. Work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline financial operations and drive process improvements.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. CPA designation
2. A minimum of 3 years in a leadership role in a public practice firm
3. Strong knowledge of IFRS or ASPE and Canadian tax regulations.
4. Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
5. Understanding of QuickBooks, Caseware, and Jazzit software and ERP systems.
6. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
