Position Overview:
As a Senior Accountant at Baker Tilly CK, LLP, you will play a pivotal role in our dynamic and diverse team of professionals. Your primary focus will be to assist in delivering high-quality tax services to our clients. You will collaborate closely with Partners, Managers and Junior Staff, contributing to the success of our company and the growth of your own career.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Assist in the planning, execution, and completion of a wide range of Audit, Review and Compilation engagements, both independently and as part of a team.
- Analyze financial information, accounting processes and operational procedures; provide account reconciliations and propose adjusting entries.
- Preparation of complex personal, corporate, non-profit organization information and charitable tax returns.
- Supervise junior staff during field assignments, inform manager and partners of engagement status and manage engagement progress.
- Provide personal, attentive service to clients to encourage productive working relationships.
A successful candidate will have:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- An active Canadian CPA designation.
- 1-3 years post-qualification public accounting experience.
- Profound knowledge of Canadian GAAP, audit, review procedures, and tax compliance.
- A strong foundation in bookkeeping and an aptitude for working on multiple engagements simultaneously.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills, combined with the ability to make independent decisions.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in accounting software and the ability to quickly adapt to new programs.
- A team-oriented mindset and the ability to provide client-focused service.
