Why do we need you?

Account Managers are primarily responsible for managing a successful client relationship through an understanding of the client’s business, expectation management and ensuring campaign strategies and tactics deliver on the clients’ needs. The successful candidate will be comfortable bridging Walmart Connect Canada’s portfolio of campaign tactics to deliver a comprehensive media strategy to the client.

As the internal advocate for the client, the Account Manager will be comfortable challenging the campaign and creative services team to ensure they are delivering the best strategy to accomplish client goals; be able to support Account Leadership in the communication of media plans and campaign performance to clients; and be able to assess the quality of the campaign delivery.

Account Managers will work with Account Directors in a POD team to build and execute both POD and account growth plans.

What will you do?

  1. Manage client communication and reporting– Current Campaigns
  2. Responsible for maintaining the day to day client relationship and communication
  3. Lead campaign meetings with clients
  4. Use analytics to build and present client reports to clients
  5. Demonstrate media performance value at the pre-sales, in-campaign, and post-sales stages
  6. Prepare for calls by understanding performance stories from campaign managers
  7. Set agendas, keep meeting on track, communicate action plans and call notes.
  8. Manage client expectations on campaign timing, creative approval process, and performance of campaign tactics
  9. Responsible for the successful delivery of projects and campaigns
  10. Proactively build client media plans by working with sales directors, campaign managers, and creative specialists.
  11. Project manage the successful delivery of campaigns
  12. Kick off creative services process and troubleshoot delays or challenges
  13. Track performance of campaigns to ensure success against client’s stated KPI’s
  14. Work with campaign managers to ensure campaigns are fully optimized
  15. Optimize the billing of client’s campaigns by working with the finance team
  16. Coordinate and participate in strategic client business reviews
  17. Solve troubled account challenges by working with account teams (sales, ad ops, creative)
  18. Present proactive new ideas and category trends to clients
  19. Identify opportunities to optimize sales, ad ops, and creative processes to ensure an efficient delivery of client campaigns
  20. Work with the production team to ensure the profitability of client campaigns

In addition, a Senior Level AM will manage the following:

  1. Develop category plans and case studies to position top performing media plans per Category
  2. Ability to successfully manage Tier 1 accounts day to day, as the SME on the client and the end to end process
  3. Offers upsell opportunities where it makes sense via strategic insights and recommendations
  4. Participate in Account and POD growth planning
  5. Optimize Walmart Connect processes and efficiency
  6. Regular cadence of sharing best practices with the rest of the Client Service team
  7. Mentoring/Training/Onboarding other Account Managers to ensure standardization across the team
  8. Point of contact for cross functional teams (Walmart, Creative, Insights, etc.)

What we're looking for:

  1. College or University diploma in Marketing or equivalent
  2. 3 years’ experience in a similar role with increasing responsibility
  3. Experience in display advertising media planning, ad operations or sales is an asset
  4. Knowledge of Omniture, Google Analytics, and Comscore analytics platforms is an asset
  5. Experience using Salesforce.com CRM is a plus
  6. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially with MS Excel and Powerpoint
  7. Business writing and presentation development
  8. Client facing client management and meeting planning experience
  9. A positive attitude and strong initiative
  10. Ability to build and analyze report and make recommendations
  11. Ability to work well with others
  12. Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  13. Ability in managing multiple tasks.
  14. Bilingual will be a definite asset.

Compensation Range: $70,000- $100,000 CAD annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
