Security Supervisor - Ottawa Rail Transportation

We are currently seeking an experienced Security Supervisor to lead a team of security professionals at a high-profile transportation site. As a Security Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our client's passengers, employees, and assets. Responsibilities:

1. Provides leadership, support and supervision to a team of security personnel, including training, coaching and performance management.
2. Supports with scheduling of security personnel.
3. Maintains knowledge of the site including the operation of equipment, site plans, and relevant site documentation including post orders, guidelines and procedures.
4. Ensures all logbooks, reference documents and instruction manuals for equipment are regularly updated.
5. Participates in emergency simulations and ensures that security personnel have appropriate training and information for emergency response.
6. Verifies the completion of patrols, daily log reports, and incident reports.

Qualifications:

1. Valid Ontario Security Guard license and First Aid CPR.
2. Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
3. Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
4. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and CCTV systems.
5. Previous security experience, preferably in high end commercial towers, hospital, college, retail, public buildings etc.
6. Proficiency with different types of fire extinguisher and other fire protection equipment, and familiarity with detection and alarm systems.
7. Knowledge of Canada Criminal Code and 494(c).
8. Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
9. Ability to stand or walk for long periods up to 12 hours.
10. College Diploma or University Degree in Police Foundations, Law enforcement or equivalent is an asset.
11. Use of Force, Management of Resistive Behavior is an asset.
12. Bilingual communication skills (both English and French) are an asset.

Pay rate: $20.40 per hour
