Security Shift Supervisor

Role Description

The Security Shift Supervisor leads a contract Security team across Quinte Health, a 4-hospital network in the Hastings and Prince Edward Region. Reporting to the Manager of Occupational Health, Safety and Security, this individual will be responsible for the day-to-day Security Operations, Oversight on the deployment and deportment of the contracted Security Staff, be a leader in Emergency Response within the Hospital and be a direct point of contact with Emergency Services in relation to Emergencies involving the Hospital.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education at a university or college level in Security and Law Enforcement, or equivalent.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Security or Law Enforcement field, or equivalent experience.
• High level of knowledge of security procedures and use-of-force applications.
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License at the time of hire (must be maintained throughout employment).
• Sound working knowledge of related legislation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Physically fit and able to perform all security functions.
• Emergency preparedness experience is an asset.
• Healthcare experience is an asset.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and means of transportation, as some inter-site travel is required.
