Security Professional

As a Security Professional, you will be at the forefront of security, playing a crucial role in maintaining order, peace, and the confidence of those who pass through our site every day. Job Requirements:

1. Conduct routine patrols of public, secure, and exterior areas to identify security threats, trespassers, and policy violations.
2. Coordinate with RCMP when security threats arise, such as theft, assault, or public disturbances.
3. Assist the public by providing timely intervention and conflict resolution.
4. Perform security risk assessments and report concerns to operations staff.
5. Document and communicate incidents that may impact site operations.
6. Manage the lost & found program and respond to site emergencies.
7. Investigate security breaches, interview witnesses, and prepare reports.
8. Ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
9. Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including law enforcement and community groups.
10. De-escalate conflicts using non-physical intervention and collaborate with RCMP when necessary.
11. Identify and report safety hazards, security risks, and policy violations.
12. Maintain familiarity with local security rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

1. Strong Communication Skills - verbal and written.
2. Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
3. Demonstrate a high level of performance, commitment, and motivation.
4. Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks under pressure.
5. Excellent computer skills.
6. Training and Coaching skills.
7. Ability to problem solve and strong decision-making skills.
8. Physically fit - ability to respond quickly to a variety of incidents on foot.
9. Valid Security License with the province of British Columbia.
10. CPR & AED training & certification.
11. Ability to obtain security clearance.
12. Reliable transportation to get to and from site.
