As an Access Control Security Guard in the health care sector, you will ensure a high level of customer service in a challenging environment, greeting and providing access to people and directing them to the right place. We are looking for Part-Time health care Access Control Guards to work at one of our Healthcare sites in Winnipeg. As an Access Control Guard in the Healthcare sector, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety of workers for some of the biggest brands out there!

• Shift: Friday 0630-1700, Saturday 0700-1500, Sunday 0700-1500

What does a Security Guard in Winnipeg do?

• Access control duties
• Good and effective communication skills are required with the ability to engage and de-escalate situations
• Must provide a high level of customer service in a challenging environment, greeting people and directing them to the right place.
• Will need to monitor site visitors and staff, perform ID checks.
• Will respond to various site emergencies (codes), and when required, immediately coordinate with the site security and call backup in order to ensure the security of patients, visitors, staff, property, and information.
• Will need to observe the presence of any suspicious person, things, unusual activity, or issues if seen at the site, and respond to the situation, managing immediate coordination and reporting to site security.
• Incident and daily reporting according to the site requirements and standards.

Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Winnipeg?

• Valid Permanent Manitoba Security Guard license
• Must be able to work morning shifts
• Fluent in English, both written and orally
• Must be able to stand for long hours
• High school education or equivalent
• Parking facility is not available on site
