Security Guard - Health Care

As a healthcare security professional, you will make a positive impact on the lives of patients, families, and visitors.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of the hospital community while demonstrating empathy and compassion.

• $20 per hour
• Full time
• Wednesday - Saturday 2200-0800
• Paid on-the-job training
• GardaWorld uniform provided at no cost

• Create a welcoming and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff
• Provide exceptional customer service through the management of the reception desk (in person and telephone)
• Foot patrol – inside and outside of the facility
• CCTV monitoring
• Deter and manage trespassing
• Incident report writing

• Valid Ontario Security Guard license
• Current CPR-C standard certificate as issued by a WSIB-recognized provider
• 1-year tactical security experience
• Work or volunteer experience within the vulnerable sector (patient care, disadvantaged groups, mental health, and drug addiction)
• Ability to meet healthcare immunization requirements
• Legally eligible to work in Canada
• Available and willing to work continental, rotating shifts, including weekends
