Position: Full-Time Security Guard

Site: Belleville General Hospital - 265 Dundas St E

Hours: Continental Rotation - 0800-2000/2000-0800

Payrate: $18.75/hour

Schedule Example:

1. Week 1 - 0800-2000 - 4 Days (Mon-Tues, Fri-Sat)
2. Week 2 - 0800-2000 - 3 Days (Sun, Wed-Thurs)
3. Week 3 - 2000-0800 - 4 Days (Mon-Tues, Fri-Sat)
4. Week 4 - 2000-0800 - 3 Days (Sun, Wed-Thurs)

Note: The schedule remains the same month-to-month.

Job Responsibilities:

Job Requirements:

• Compassion, empathy, and a desire to work in a healthcare environment.
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider).
• Ability to be clean-shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test.
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination).
• A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2).
• Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding).
• Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of non-healthcare security experience required.
• Must be able to commit to full-time availability for no less than 6 months.
• Must have a reliable working vehicle in good repair.
• Must be able to site train at all 4 QHC facilities (Belleville, Trenton, Picton, and Bancroft).
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB).
• Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training. If choosing to opt in, applicants must be able to commute to Kingston for pre-deployment training.
• Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability.
