Full-Time 2 – 5 Years’ Experience. Security CCTV, Burglar & Fire Alarm Installation Technician - Fairfield, NJ

Homeland Security & Life Safety Systems, LLC is growing rapidly and looking for an experienced technician to service in the Electronic Security, Burglar Alarm, Fire Alarm, IP CCTV, Intercom, and Access Control Systems. Candidate must be proficient at installing and troubleshooting, using a digital multi-meter, network tester, IP camera addressing tool, hand tools and power tools, and running wires and network cabling. We are an IBEW Union Local 3 company. Great opportunity, pay, pension, and benefits.

• Security - DMP, Bosch, Honeywell
• IP CCTV – Axis, Verint, Exacq, Avigilon
• Access Control – Lenel, Software House, Brivo, Amag, WINPAK
• Fire - Silent Knight, Firelite, Bosch, Notifire

TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• High School Diploma or Tech School Certification
• Continually learn new products, upgrades, and software programs related to low voltage systems
• Installing low voltage security systems in a new construction commercial, banking, and retail environment
• Read and understand floor plans
• Terminating and installing security, CCTV, and Access devices
• Testing/troubleshooting system issues
• Pulling Fiber and Cat6
• Responsible for maintaining company vehicle’s inventory

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

• Valid New Jersey driver’s license
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a field technician troubleshooting CCTV and alarm systems
• Terminating RJ-45 Cat6/Cat5 modules
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work on heights (scissor, boom lifts, and ladders)
• Must be able to climb, crawl and raise objects overhead
