Background & Purpose of the Job
Help us "Bring Out the Best!" - Unilever is recruiting for a Seasonal Packaging Technician at our Rexdale facility where we produce Hellmann's Mayonnaise.
The Seasonal Packaging Technician position works during the factory's peak production season and can expect to work full-time hours from April 2025 to September 30th, 2025.
You will work under the direction of the Production Supervisors in the Manufacturing Department. You will be responsible for all aspects of line operation including Cleaning, Changeovers, Lubrication and Troubleshooting according to an established procedure, at a set pace while adhering to all safety regulations. You will inspect the products and complete required quality checks and necessary forms.

Who You Are & What You'll Do
Come to work in an environment with a strong bias towards safety and action, operate machine(s), keeping watch for any malfunction. Responsible for maintaining quality and quantity of product as set by Quality Assurance and packaging Production Standards. Inspect product according to production specifications, and quality standards. Manage changeovers as necessary, using basic hand tools when necessary as well as cleaning and sanitization.

You're a dot connector: Troubleshoot machine issues as they arise on the line, and either initiate the corrective action or involve required teammate.

What You'll Need To Succeed

• High School Diploma
• Knowledge of WHMIS, LOTO, GMP
• 2-3 years Manufacturing Experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Company preferred
• IT Skills - Competent in the use of machine data and control systems
• Ability to perform basic mathematical equations
• Basic mechanical knowledge and comfort using hand tools
• HACCP Trained an asset
