Essential Responsibilities:
Evaluate and process subcontractor qualifications for inclusion in the SDI program, analyzing financial statements, liquidity, operational practices, and safety programs.
Apply established policies to assess prequalification information and recommend effective subcontractor risk mitigation strategies.
Solve complex challenges within the SDI program using industry expertise and precedents.
Review and validate subcontractor evaluations completed by Subcontractor Risk Management analysts.
Ensure the secure management of subcontractor-submitted information in alignment with risk management strategies and document protocols.
Serve as an advisor on SDI policies, claims management, policy renewals, and project-specific policies for large subcontractor scopes or durations.
Provide mentorship and guidance to Subcontractor Risk Management analysts, fostering their professional development.
Propose innovative subcontractor risk management programs, initiatives, and policies.
Support management by delivering data analysis and reporting on key performance and financial metrics for the SDI program.
Lead the implementation of reporting mechanisms to track performance and suggest improvements based on data-driven insights.
Qualifications:
5+ years of SDI underwriting experience
Commercial construction industry and/or subcontractor risk management (SDI, surety, etc) experience is preferred.
Excellent knowledge of accounting practices, financial statements and financial analysis.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines.
Excellent verbal, written and negotiation skills
High degree of accuracy when working with large volume of data.
Ability to work with complex pivot tables in Excel.
Experience with SDI qualification toolset Bespoke Compass, or other 3rd party qualification program.

This role is hybrid, requiring one to three days a week in the office.
