Reporting to the Manager - SCM Operations Procurement, the SCM Procurement Advisor is responsible for timely and efficient procurement of materials in compliance with corporate processes and regulatory requirements. The role includes strictly materials procurement, both planned and unplanned, for the SeaRose FPSO. The ideal candidate will have a detailed understanding of cradle-to-grave materials procurement processes and systems (SAP or similar) and will be results oriented with exceptional time management and communication skills.
What you’ll do:
Ensuring cost competitiveness and best overall value to the business through sourcing and negotiation with suppliers
Ensuring the accurate materials are procured in accordance with specification and substitutions are identified, reviewed, and approved by business team members
Ensuring Purchase Orders clearly define all relevant procurement details (e.g., delivery timelines, special instructions, quality assurance requirements, Incoterms, substitution approvals)
Ensuring timely procurement and on-time availability of the correct materials for maintenance campaigns and day-to-day operations on the SeaRose FPSO
Managing supplier performance and fostering relationships, ensuring reliability, accountability, and competitiveness throughout the procurement process
Identification of materials which are candidates for long-term contract award vs. sourcing
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Minimum 5+ years of experience in supply chain management and in the oil and gas industry considered an asset
College diploma or post-secondary degree in a relevant field
Experience in SAP and ARIBA
