Carmichael is looking for a Refrigeration technician to work in our scientific division. Experience on ultra-low refrigeration and environmental chambers is an asset. This position is full-time/permanent and starts immediately.

Responsibilities

1. Maintaining and repairing refrigeration equipment for customers in the healthcare, laboratory, and manufacturing industries.
2. Performing on-site calibrations for temperature, humidity, CO2, and speed.
3. Putting together repair estimates and ordering parts where required.
4. Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
5. Complying with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements.
6. Assisting with customers' queries.

Requirements

1. Refrigeration license.
2. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
3. Client focus; dependable; reliable; flexible.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Experience working on Ultra-low freezers, laboratory fridges, environmental chambers, incubators, centrifuges, freeze dryers, and other laboratory equipment is a benefit.
6. Any applicable manufacturer training is an asset (Thermo Fisher, Thermotron, Eppendorf, Sheldon, PHCbi, etc.).
7. Willingness to learn new skills.
8. Enhanced problem-solving abilities.
