Sanitarian (3pm - 3:30am)

We currently have an immediate opportunity for a Sanitarian to join the BAR DIVISION at our ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA location. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Shift Hours: 3pm - 3:30am; weekend availability required

Reports to: Sanitation Manager

Job Summary

A self-motivated and mechanically inclined individual to clean and sanitize food manufacturing plant according to good sanitation and safety procedures.

Main Job Functions

1. Clean Machinery (Extruder, Mixers, Wrappers, Cooling Tunnels, etc.)
2. Clean Utensils (Ingredient Containers, Kettles, Racks, etc.)
3. Clean building interior
4. Collect, record, weigh and store product
5. Collect, record, weigh and package product waste for removal (animal/food)
6. Collect and empty manufacturing/packaging debris (paper, cardboard, etc.)
7. Practice GMP’s/GSP’s.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

1. Lifting up to 50 lbs.
2. Make minor adjustments to equipment with tools.
3. Standing for extended amounts of time.
4. Squatting to make line adjustments.

Required Competencies

1. Food Safety Training
2. Mechanical aptitude
3. Intermediate communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine correspondence, instructions and procedures. Bilingual speaking skills in both English and Spanish preferred.
4. Able to work in high stress/speed environment and be able to deal with emergency situations with calmness.
5. Basic math skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals and fractions. Able to compute ratios and percentages. Be able to use a calculator.
6. Strong teamwork skills and ability to foster a positive and productive environment.
7. Commitment to company values.
8. Inspires and motivates others to perform well, effectively communicates changes, always seeks ways to improve job skills.
