ABOUT OUR OPERATION

Agnico Eagle is always looking for new talented team members to join our Nunavut mining operations. Meliadine is located just northwest of Rankin Inlet, a small coastal town on the shores of Hudson Bay. Commercial production began at Meliadine in mid-May 2019 and the mine officially opened at the end of June. This mine is our largest gold deposit in terms of mineral resources and we expect to operate it for at least 14 years. The site features a power plant and processing facilities, as well as a complete camp complex.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  1. All Inuit Nunavut Beneficiaries can apply, but priority will be given to Inuit students enrolled in high school or any post-secondary school. Recent graduates of high school (previous semester) or post-secondary school (previous semester) may also apply. NTI number is required.
  2. Priority also given for children or dependents of Agnico Eagle employees who are looking for summer opportunities.
  3. Summer employment opportunities are available to Inuit who are 16 years old or older (for Community opportunity) and 18 years or older (for Meliadine and Meadowbank).
  4. Willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
